We went to Spike and Sheri's house for Memorial Day.
We had a really fun time. It's always so hard getting together with them these days because of the kids. We are the only couple in our 3 couple group that have kids. But, that is not for long! Sheri is about 5 1/2 months pregnant and due the end of Sept/beginning of Oct. We're so happy for them. Also happy that now they'll know how we feel when they get called at 2pm to go out at 8pm that day and you have no place for the kiddies to go and have to miss out! Bwahahahahahaaaa!!!
There were a lot of people there and a lot of kids. Our other friends brought their little moonbounce for the kids to play in. What fun they had on that! We may need one of those!! Macy pretty much did her own thing the entire day. We had to wander after Jack. Many times he could be found in the kitchen raiding the watermelon and canteloupe!
Food! Wow, was there ever a bunch of food!! Everything you could imagine! Quite the spread. We took hoagie dip. I was so full but had to try every new food that arrived!! Macy had about 5 plates of dessert! YIKES!
It was a really fun day but very exhausting! It was about 90 degrees! We came home, got the kids bathed and in bed and I was even in bed at 9pm. That is pretty much unheard of for me! I fell asleep around 10 and got up at 9am Tuesday morning feeling refreshed!!

Sneak Peek and a Funny!
The June Scrapbooking Society kit from ilove2create is a good one!!
It comes with the newest Lil Davis papers and chipboard, a Maya Road coaster album box, some really unique embellishments and really neat inket fabric!
Here is a peek of a layout that I created with the kit!!
Check out this cute pillow I made using the inkjet organza fabric and some Twinkling H2O's! The flower is actually a picture of a flower from my backyard!!
For a little laugh, here is a little dance especially for you!!! Thanks Angie for the cool link!!My Lollapalooza.com dance
Also gotta throw in a happy 29th birthday to my brother!! Gosh, I can't believe he is that old already. That means I am even older! ACK!

It's a hot one!
It sure is hot today - 90 degrees! I've been telling the kids for the last week that once it gets hot enough out, we'll put on their bathing suits and hook up the sprinkler! After many days of Macy asking "is it hot enough yet?", I was finally able to answer "yes"!
Don't they just look so cute in their new suits? I still need to get them each at least one more. I bought these 2 several months ago at Hartstrings. I love them! I just love little boys in orange!
If I ever figure out how to get the pictures organized nicely in Blogger, I think I'll faint! Sorry for the haphazardness!
We've got a busy weekend here. It's the season of birthdays again! One of the boys from Macy's preschool class is having his party tomorrow at a kid gym. Sunday, the boy neighbor across the street is having his 7th bday party at the bowling alley. Then, next Saturday is my Aunt's 50th bday. We are having a surprise party for her. Sunday is Macy's bday and party! I still do not know what I am getting for her! She has everything already, so it probably won't be much! We usually go to an amusement park right around that day too, probably the following weekend.
The blog challenge today is to list 5 things that you want to do or have done in your lifetime.
Hmmmm . . .
1. I would love to win the lottery, but that is impossible since I don't play it, besides the scratch offs once in awhile.
2. Return to Jamaica for a second honeymoon. We are hoping to do that for our 10th anniversary in 2 years, so we'll see!
3. Go to Paris. I am part French, my Great Grandfather came over from France. I will probably never do this though, unless I am tranquilized. I am not a fan of flying for that long!
4. Get in shape and stay that way!
5. Have grandchildren and great grandchildren and spoil them rotten!
Have a great weekend!

Preschool graduate!
We have a preschool graduate!! Miss Macy graduated yesterday!
The afternoon classes did their program at 10:30. Macy was at the head of the procession! Somehow I knew she would be! She is the most outgoing little almost 5 year old there is! So social! Here she is with one of her teachers, Mrs. Kolb.
Onto another subject, yesterday's blog challenge was to tell about your first date with your husband.

She's wearing a frog hat. Their first song was "5 Little Speckled Frogs". She has been singing this song at home for weeks! So much that I am constantly singing it! It was neat to hear them sing it to the music, and I was able to sing along!
It was a short program, lasting about 20 minutes. Daddy left work to come see her and Grammy, Nana and Pop Pop were also there, along with brother Jack!
Afterwards, we went over to the park and had the whole 4 year old and pre K class picnic. Lots of yummy picnic food; hot dogs, pb&j's, lots of salads, fruit, veggies and delicious desserts!
The kids played for a bit and then we headed home. It was an exhausting day for Mommy! Getting up at 7 am and then being out in the heat with probably 100 kids with a high energy level! Sheesh, I needed a nap, but couldnt' take one!
Onto another subject, yesterday's blog challenge was to tell about your first date with your husband.
Since Chris and I met in college, we didn't really have a first date. It's kind of hard to date when you are a college student with no money!
I would say our first date was a fraternity party. I remember dancing to the song "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-a-lot". I still laugh and think back to that night when I hear the song! Really wasn't too exciting!

Good morning!
It's 10:45 am and I am actually dressed, hair is done, kids are dressed, got a load of laundry in the washer and I am ready to go!! It's usually 11:45 before all this is accomplished!
Why for the earliness you ask? I've got a ton to do today! Macy graduates from preschool tomorrow and the inlaws are coming tonight so they can go tomorrow. So, I've got cleaning to do and errands to run! I also bought another flat of annuals for the front yard yesterday so I need to get them planted!
Went to the gym again last night. Since it was less than 24 hours ago, I am not feeling the effects of it so far! But, I know once tonight and tomorrow morning roll around, I will be sore! I did double the workout and also got on the elliptical for the first time. Yeah, that's a killer workout! You can burn over 500 calories an hour on that puppy! I did 15 minutes of it as my "cool down", but I definately wasn't cool! Hoping to get there again tomorrow night and then my appt with the trainer is Tuesday morning. I think Chris is going to start going too! :)
I am off to do my chores!!
Since I like to have a picture with each post, here is a layout that I did for the May SBS kit. This is my Uncle Joe from I'm not sure when. I found this pic going through some old family albums. On the back was a note from him to either my Grandmother (his sister) or other Uncle. What a treasure that was to find!!

Spring pleasures!
So many great things come with spring!
**being outside all day
**long family bike rides through parks
**carnivals/fairs/community days
**being able to hang wash out on the clothesline
**climbing in bed and enjoying the fresh smelling crispy sheets
**planting of flowers and vegetables
**flowers blooming
**the smell of fresh mulch
**opening up the windows and airing out the house
**sitting out on the porch or patio at night with the hubby
**rolling down the car windows and jamming to a great 80's or 90's song - brings back great youthful memories!
**the smell of barbecuing
**when that smell is coming from your house
So many wonderful things and I know I forgot a bunch but these are what's on my mind now.
Here are some of my blooming flowers.

Blog Challenge #30 - Truth or Dare
Today's challenge is to post a "busted" moment or fess up about the difference of the weight on your driver's license vs. your real weight. Well, here in PA, we don't have weight listed on our dl, so I will post a busted moment!
Lisa always comes up with some great challenges, real thinkers, and of course I can never think of an answer!
This one is another "Macy moment". We got dressed for the day, she is doing her little flitting around with her hair and her outfit. She then turned to me and asked me "does my butt look big in this?" Hmmm, apparently I must ask that often!
Speaking of butts, I finally got this big one to the gym!! I met with a trainer today to get me aquainted with the equipment and develop my program for me. My butt is feeling fine but my arms are like Jello! No upper body strength here! It feels good though and I am looking forward to getting back in shape and back to my prepregnancy weight!

7 Wierd Things About Me!
1. I cannot stand it when there is time left on the microwave and there is nothing in it! Chris will constantly take things out before the time is up and not clear it!!! It drives me bonkers, it must be cleared!!!
2. I also twitch when I see someone's tag hanging out of their shirt! It bothers me so bad that I have, on occasion, gone up and tucked in strangers tags. The really bad thing is if I realize that I have a tag out! ACK!!! I check several times a day, but you never know when one will pop out!
3. The proper way to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is to lay the bread out side by side (making sure that the sides will match up), spread a nice layer of peanut butter on the bread on the right and a nice layer of jelly on the left side. Under no circumstances do you just put a glob of jelly ON TOP of the peanut butter!!!
4. Corn on the cob must be eaten from left to right! Not right to left, not around the cob!
5. I must have double jointed shoulders, I can put my hands on my waist and twist my elbow around in front of me and make them touch. It's really quite odd!
6. I must have clean feet before going to bed! I get a bath at night, just the thought of having all the days dirt on me when I go to bed just grosses me out! If by chance I cannot get a bath, I will still wash my feet! My sheets must also be tucked in at the bottom of the bed "just so" or I cannot sleep!
7. I have to drive everywhere. I get terribly car sick! I have been known to get car sick when I drive myself too! I cannot ride on merry go rounds or ferris wheels or anything that has any type of circle. Which, sadly, leaves out most of the cool new roller coasters. I love roller coasters, but can only go on the old ones because of this. :(
I could come up with many more, but I think that'll do ya for now!

Mother's Day weekend
We had such a nice weekend! It started off on Friday. Macy's preschool had a special Mother's Day celebration. Chris came home early to watch Jack while I went. They had it all set up in the church social room. The kids made special pictures of butterflies using their handprints with a nice poem at the bottom. They also made us pretzel sticks with chocolate flowers on them. YUM!!
The mom's were all seated and then the 2 classes came out and sang us 2 songs. We then had some food! They had quite the spread! Several flavors of mini muffins, fruit, veggies, pretzels and punch. Very good! It was such a nice time, it was nice spending time with just her and also her friends with their mommies!
Friday evening we went out to eat at Applebee's and then I had my monthly Bunco game. Guess what? I won!! We give $20 cash to the person with the most bunco's, highest score, and lowest score. Yes, I won for lowest score! Last month, I was just 2 points away from high score!
Saturday, I got my Mother's Day present! All I wanted was to be able to go to Glick's Greenhouse and buy flowers and veggies!! And that I did!! Macy and I went and had such a fun time picking it all out!! They always have the nicest plants, and great prices too! We will be stocked on tomatoes this summer! Can't wait!! We came home and planted most of them. We finished up the annual planting this afternoon.
Chris was supposed to work a 24 hour shift Saturday into Sunday, but the helicopter was down for maintenance so he didn't have to go in at all! That was nice!
Sunday, me and the kids went to my parents and then to my Grandmother's. We saw my Aunt and cousin there too. My Grandmother and her husband have sheep and a lot of land, so the kids really enjoyed that! They even took a half hour hike up into the woods!
We got home to find a nice tulip arrangement for me! Orange and yellow ones, so pretty! I was not expecting that, so it was a nice surprise.
So, that was the weekend! Now here it is Monday again and just 8 more days until Macy's last day of preschool, then I will have a kindergarter and a new preschooler! Wow!!

Fun day!
I had to go pick up my Karen Foster tote that I won for NSD, so I decided to make it a fun day for me and the kids.
We headed out this morning and first went to Chocolate World, did the ride and then had lunch there in the food court and bought some cookies. Hit the LSS to pick up my winnings and then headed to Hershey Gardens. We've never been there before, so thought it would be fun! They had a really nice childrens garden. Lots of things for the kids to climb around on. They also enjoyed those small trees and bushes that sort of make it like a fort underneath them.
It definately isn't Longwood Gardens, but it was still nice. There weren't many people there either, so that made it even better!
It was definately hot out in the sun. Luckily, they had Hershey Kiss spritzer fountains in the childrens area. You never knew when they were going to go off, but they usually surprised the kids and got some good squeals out of them!
We were so hot when we were done that we went back over to Chocolate World and got milkshakes. Chocolate milkshakes you ask? No, we got strawberry! Boy were they yummy!! I saw too that they made the chocolate milkshakes with chocolate milk, bet they are rich!
We sipped on our milkshakes on the way home and the kids watched the Cars movie on the way.
Made for a really fun day, but we were all pretty beat!!
I'm a little late, but just wanted to add in Shandy's blog challenge from yesterday. It's pretty sad, but I don't know any "big people" jokes. All I know are 4 year old jokes! So, this is Macy favorite joke right now:
"What do you call a fish with two knees?"
A tunee fish. Like tuna, I guess! lol

How I spent NSD (blog challenge #25)
For those non-scrapbookers out there, NSD stands for National Scrapbooking Day!! It is an excuse for all of us scrappers to get a free day to scrap!
NSD was this past Saturday, May 5th. While I did nothing scrappy at all on that day, I did have a blast the night before!
Friday night, we had our GNO (girl's night out). My friends Tracy, Mimi, Mary and I get together for a fun time every 6 weeks or so. We used to crop at one of our houses but lately we found that it's much more fun shopping and eating out!
There is a store in Hershey, PA that was having 30% off your total bill all weekend. What scrapaholic could pass that up? So, we hopped in the van on Friday evening, after the hubbies got home, and headed on up to Hershey! It's an hour ride, so you can imagine all the giggling and silliness going on during that time. We also had some guy in a pickup truck hot on our tail for a mile or two. It was like being in high school again! Luckily he turned the opposite way at an off ramp! Getting too old for that stuff!
So, we arrive in Hershey and go to eat at Red Robin. No wait at 6:45 on a Friday night! Maybe we would actually stick to the itinerary that Tracy had made up. [Her husband was the late one, so we were about a half hour behind schedule!] That was not the case. All the people that came in after us were getting their food well before us. We waited an hour for our food! Tracy, the outspoken one that she is (thank goodness), got the manager! She explained to him how we drove an hour to eat there, how we were going to miss our movie (we were planning on taking in a movie too), blah, blah, blah. She asked in her professional lingo "how are you going to rectify this situation?" Such big words. Mary, Mimi, and I had to hold in some little giggles while she was chatting with him. The manager was probably 8-10 years younger than us! I think we scared him! We thought we'd get a gift certificate for our next visit or maybe the appetizer free, well, he told us he was going to take care of our entire meal! :) Woohoo!!! Yippeeeee!!! They pretty much sucked up to us for the rest of the time we were there!
Finally, after all that, we went over to the store. So much fun! We consulted about some purchases, giggled alot plus some other things! We probably spent about an hour and a half there! They didn't have much more than what we already had, but it was fun and we managed to do some damage! For every $50 you spent, you got a ticket to win 1 of 5 Karen Foster totes that have the seat built in. Can you believe that I got home today and had a message that I won one? Made the trip even better. Now I just need to figure out when I can go and pick it up!
The topper to the night was heading down to Starbucks after we shopped. They were open for another 45 minutes and we stayed that long. Apparently we must've gotten a little loud or too giddy for them because they turned the music on loud soon after we got there and sat down with our drinks!
All in all, it was such a great night! It's always fun to get away with the gal pals minus the kids and have a jolly good time! :)
Looking forward to the next GNO!

She's getting big!
I called and reserved this years birthday spot for Macy's 5th birthday!! We are having it at www.thejumpfactory.com. It should be a lot of fun!! I hope most of the kids can come!
Tonight, Daddy took Macy to get a new big girl bike! We have a tandem bike that hooks onto my bike when we go on our bike adventures. Her little "around the neighborhood" bike is the same bike that we got her for her second Christmas (it was kind of jumping the gun then!). It is a 12 incher. Well, this tall girl is way too big for that, so they went to Walmart tonight and Macy picked out a nice new 20 incher! It looks so big! She also had to have an alien flag to go on the back and some streamers for the handles. Currently, there are just one set of streamers because she had one little accident where she tipped the bike and broke the one set off! LOL She's all good though, Dad gave her a pep talk and she hopped right back on! We told her that all the kids would see just the one set of streamers and they would think it's cool and she'd start a new trend!
Of course, she had no problem modeling while Mommy took some pics!

May already!
Wow! It's May 1st! Where has this year gone? Our anniversary is only a week away and we've both almost forgot about it! I changed my music on here to our wedding song - I'll Be by Edwin McCain. Just a little tribute to the hubby and our wonderful 8 years of marriage! 8 years of marriage means 13 years of being together! It took him 4 years to ask me to marry him. To this day, I still say that if I hadn't taken him to look at a ring, we'd still just be dating!
Jack is still feeling yucky, he's napping on the couch as I type! My allergies decided to kick into full gear yesterday. I am currently sporting my "man voice". Hopefully not many people will call the house. I already had to talk to one of Chris's friends on the phone - embarrassing!!
Don't have a whole lot to say today! I'll leave this post with another pic of a project I created for the ilove2create.com cybercraft this past weekend. My challenge was to use alcohol inks and masks to create a great picture frame! I masked off an area in the center
of the frame that was just a tad bigger than the picture I wanted to use. I then placed a Heidi Swapp daisy mask and alcohol inked over it, just picking it up and moving it around as I went! Turned out pretty cool, huh?
