Just say NO!!!

to Moon Sand, that is!!

Yeah, about a month ago I gave into the Floam begs. Today, I willingly bought Moon Sand! It was my idea, the kids didn't even know what it was! AC Moore has it on sale 2 for $7, I decided I'd buy it for the kids.

Why? Why did I do it? With a name like Moon SAND, I should've known better!! It is exactly that, SAND!!! It's got some sort of stuff in it so it sticks together when you squeeze it, but it quickly falls apart after that!

Not a good idea!! Very messy!! I had purple sand all over my kitchen floor, the white kitchen floor!! Plus, I am all out of Mr. Clean!! Luckily, it cleans up nicely with the Dustbuster, but it is still a mess!!

So, those of you out there reading this, if you have ever looked at Moon Sand and have thought about buying it for your kids (especially if you have an almost 3 year old), JUST SAY NO!!! Take it from me!! Your floors will love me for it!!

LOL! Sorry to laugh at your mess, but this is funny... I can just imagine a purple sandy floor (and some adult skidding across uncontrollably.)

Luckily, my daughter is too old for that stuff anymore. The only things she spreads out on the floor are clothes....

Thanks for the warning! Kyle was asking for some and I thought maybe it would be fun because it sticks together better, but maybe we'll find something else... hee hee

Amen to that ! I hate the moon sand too! I just added some color to the outside sandbox... definately not an inside thing to do! Oh such a mess !

I'm happy my son won't play with this anymore. :)

And thanks for the tip, I think it's not available in Holland yet, but when it is, I will remember your advice... LOL

Thanks for the heads up. I have seen this on TV and the kids keep asking for it but I didn't get it because I hate buying stuff off TV. If I had seen it at the store it would have been mine, sounds like you saved me a headache.

My kids are too old for that too, but when they were younger, I made them play with anything that mess IN THE BATHTUB!!!! It's much easier clean up and they still get to play with the icky stuff. :-)
