Give it up for Shandy!!!

See that totally fab banner? My super digi talented friend, Shandy Vogt made that especially for MOI!! Yep, I feel so special!! It is perfect! So fitting for me!!!

You should check her out, her blog is in my favorites, she is so good and even designs her own papers!

Thank you Shandy, I owe you big time!!!

GURLZ night out!!

Last night was GNO!!! What a blast!!!

We started off at Mary's house to do our little birthday festivities for Tracy and exchange our homemade gifts. Mary, unfortunately was unable to go out with us, her daughter wasn't feeling well. But, Mary did accompany us on our trip on a stick!! We have pictures of her everywhere we went, including her getting a little friendly with the waiter at Bennigan's!

First, we hit Memory Lane, PA. Let me tell you what a blast it was shopping sans kids!! It was so nice not having to worry if Jack was staying in the playroom! Ahhh!! We spent a good deal of time (and money) there, then loaded up on search of some food!!

We don't think people between Quakertown and Hatfield eat anything but fast food and tavern food! Finally we stumbled upon a Bennigan's! YUM!!!! Mary enjoyed a Corona!

Next we headed to The Crop Room for some more shopping!! Checked out there around 11pm, loaded up and hit a Dunkin' Donuts on the way home! Had a yummy french vanilla latte and a coffee cake muffin. Not even gonna look up the WW points on that one!!

It was such a fun time!! Looking forward to the next one!!

Spring is here!

I think Spring has finally arrived!! It has me in the mood to clean and paint now! I went and picked up paint swatches today as well as all the necessary painting supplies! Did I ever tell you, though, that I hate to paint? I love it once it's all done but the process is awful, not to mention the dreaded cutting in part!

The first room is our master bedroom, we haven't painted it yet since we moved in almost 7 years ago (I told you I hated to paint, so does Chris!). There is this horrible, horrible floral border in there that has been begging to come down and this year is finally the year! I got a really neat rust, tan, green paisley like comforter set at Ross a few months ago for only $18. I think I'm going to get rust curtains and paint the walls a beige or a green. Not sure yet until I put up the swatches. The hallways will be next, then the kitchen once we get our roof fixed and then the family room. I was wanting to repaint the family room this year and Jack sealed that deal. A week or so ago, he found a purple marker and decided to draw all over one wall, and on the ceiling above his play kitchen. I couldn't get the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to it fast enough. The marker on the ceiling didn't all come off.

Onto the blog challenges, I am trying to catch up!! Here is Shandy's (from ScrapGal) Monday challenge - to take a blog entry and use all or parts of it to make a layout. I love this picture of Chris during our bike adventure on Sunday.

Out 'o shape!!

Wow! Winter with almost no physical activity is bad!

We went on our first bike adventure (that's what we like to call them) since the fall. Chris got a new hybrid bike and we bought a tandem bike for Macy. Jack still rides in the trailer, Macy's tandem is attached to me.

The trail we take is along an old canal along a major river here. The whole way one way is about 4.5 miles. We usually go the whole distance, but this time, we only got to the picnic area then decided to head back. That distance is a smidge over 2 miles one way.

Man was I tired at the end! My poor legs just about gave out on me! I've never had this problem! I'm going to blame it on the extra 37 pounds of Macy and whatever the tandem bike weighs! Sure, she can pedal too, but it doesn't help a whole lot! LOL She kept telling me to go faster! LOL

I guess we'll have to work up to it again! It will get easier I suppose!!

Here are some fun pics that I took along the river at the picnic area. We didn't get one of me and Macy on the tandem yet.

Rollerskating!

We went to my cousin's daughters birthday party today at a roller skating rink. This is the rink that I used to go to when I was little! It was fun taking my kids there!

It was Macy's second time skating and Jack's first. Of course, Jack, being the daredevil that he is, just took off. His wheels were all the way tightened, so it didn't really pose a problem. He got to the point where he thought it was funny when people were falling, so he would just throw himself on the floor! They loved it and Macy really loved spending time with "cousin Mandy". They don't get to see each other very often. They are 1 year and 2 1/2 months apart in age. Mandy just turned 6.

Here is Jack in action, it actually looks like he's really skating!
Macy in her fashion pose!

Here are the 3 of them.
